Healing Emotional Pain: an opportunity to evolve

We know that life was meant to be filled with joy and satisfaction – even bliss. However, due to the fact that we have an accumulated reservoir of pain and emotional trauma from this and previous lives, it is nearly impossible to grow and evolve without passing through times of emotional distress.

No one is free from heartbreak, grief, anger or jealousy. At times, we are faced with emotional pain that seems to exceed our ability to cope.  Unresolved negative emotions, such as these, can create a “shadow” within our hearts for years or even the rest of our lives ~ thus making it impossible to give or receive deep love.

In the big picture, everything is energy and carries a particular vibration.  Emotions are no exception. Therefore, in the moment of greatest pain and affliction – is hidden the opportunity to access large amounts of energy and to redirect or transmute the “negative” feelings into something new. It is a “pregnant” moment where great acts of kindness, creative genius, miraculous healing or accelerated evolution can take place. 

The intensity of pain when faced with crisis and heartbreak creates a tremendous amount of compressed energy. There are very few options in that moment. We feel helpless, when a loved one dies, or our spouse leaves us. It seems as if nothing can be done to ease the pain. Blame and anger do not relieve the grief. We are left with ourselves.

This is the time where self love and love for our Creator can be accessed in a way that is usually unavailable to us. It’s a turning within; a sinking deep into the recesses of one’s soul. A decision to embrace the suffering ~ to hold it ~ to care for it ~ to console it. To not only recognize it mentally – but spiritually and emotionally – find the narrow gate that can turn the pain into renewal, power and peace.

As humans, we avoid emotional pain whenever possible. We hide from it, bury it deep within, hoping that it will never re-surface. But, this never happens. What is buried in our subconscious “runs our lives”. It may seem to have gone away – but it will come back again. Most of us will never choose to intentionally go into those inner realms to look at and heal the pain. Yet without clearing these emotions we cannot evolve or manifest our full potential. It is therefore a “blessing” that life gives us circumstances that force us to feel our inner wounds. Whatever unresolved emotions we carry in our body, mind and spirit, are laying dormant in the subconscious most of the time. However, it is important to realize that these emotions “buried alive, never die”.

Deciding to “own” our emotions and take responsibility to heal them ~ is an important step in over-all well being.

Emotional  clearing  formula:

Fundamentally, emotions are "energy in motion". Energy cannot be destroyed, but it can be shifted and changed. Therefore, emotions can be shifted and changed. The Emotional Clearing Formula was designed to assist in this process. Negative emotional pain can arise at any time in our lives... having the tools to support us in discharging these old patterns can be invaluable.

What to do when Emotional Pain Arises:

Catch it Early - Stay Conscious - Breathe Deeply

Be aware of negative emotional reactions early ~ the longer you allow them to dominate you unconsciously, the longer it may take to clear them. Notice and stay aware of what you’re feeling ~ But don’t “become” the feeling. Be the “Witness” or “Objective Observer” of the emotions. Breathe deeply into the feeling and discharge it with the exhale.

Remember Who You Are

Remember you are a Divine Being. You are most essentially a being of love and light. You are an eternal being, experiencing the limitations of a 3 dimensional world, which includes emotions. Say out loud:  “I AM THAT I AM”,  “I AM LOVE”,  “I AM GOOD” or something similar. Claim your divinity no matter how terrible you may be feeling in the moment.

Love Yourself ~ Never Betray Yourself

Self love may be difficult to feel in the midst of acute negative emotions. Self-hate is likely to arise. Do not surrender to it. Even if you can’t “feel” self-love, in the moment, intend that you are moving in that direction. Never judge yourself or your feelings! Accepting the emotional reaction is the first step to clearing it.

Acknowledge and Honor the Emotions ~ Breathe Deeply through Them

Allow yourself to feel and acknowledge, as completely as possible, the grief, anger, fear, etc., but don’t get stuck in the feelings. Deeply breathe, directly into the emotion, and allow it to discharge and release with each exhale. Have great compassion for yourself. Remember ~ you are not these emotions.

Do Something to Further Shift the Energy

Continue to breathe deeply through your heart-center. Try one of the following:  Move your body, dance, shake, run. Use your voice: sing, chant mantras, scream, LAUGH. Use healing art: Color or draw. Remember to stay conscious while you engage in these activities and watch the negative feelings melt away.

Ask for Complete Clearing and Healing

Call upon the Creator of Love. Specifically ask for help. Ask for complete clearing of the emotions through all time, space and dimension, all the way back to the original cause.

Acknowledge the Underlying Cause of the Emotional Pain

When you feel calm and relaxed, enquire within your heart/mind as to the triggering event or the underlying false belief that caused this emotional pattern to surface. Often there are sub-conscious beliefs that need to be changed. Seek out a trained counselor or energy practitioner who specializes in this type of work.

Rest and Nurture Yourself

After the emotions quiet and shift, practice self-care and self compassion. Take a hot bath with sea salt and baking soda. Find a way to “treat” yourself. Watch an uplifting movie, or get a full body massage. Always love yourself deeply. Don’t get caught in your own drama ~ don’t take it all too seriously. Learn to laugh at yourself and see the blessing in all things.

Daily Check Points for Spiritual Evolution

1) Remember who you are

Remember you are good ~ You are a multi-dimensional being ~ You are an evolving soul living a 3 dimensional life.

2) Self Love

Read the Self-Love Affirmation (see below) - really feel the vibration of the words - take them deeply into your heart. Be kind to yourself. 

3) Be honest with yourself

Let go of  your denials – Tell the truth to yourself

4) Release – release – release

Release any painful old feelings of anger or grief as soon as possible – Use the Release Breath (see below)

5) Forgive  yourself

Self forgiveness is a cornerstone for spiritual growth. Let forgiveness wash away all the past pain – Breathe deeply and allow it to go.

6) Positive infusions

After clearing out the “old” it is important to fill up with positive vibrations. Speaking the Positive Infusions, out loud, will help (see below).

 

 

2) Self-Love Affirmation

I accept myself just the way that I am, without judgement. I accept all my emotions; my hopes, my fears, my anger, my grief, my shame and my joy. I accept my body just the way it is.

The love I have for myself is so strong that I never reject myself or sabotage my happiness or freedom. I love myself completely. I choose to live my life being true to myself. 

I love myself without judgement. I forgive myself in this moment and completely let go of the past. The power of my self-love changes my life. With self-love in my heart, I transform every relationship I have, beginning with the relationship I have with myself.

I create a new life – starting in this moment. I enjoy being alive and free. I open my heart to love. I remember my Divine Nature today and every day.

4) Release Breath

The following breath work can be used for clearing spiritual and emotional energy blocks

This technique is helpful when you feel: Heavy energy around you that seems “stuck” ~  Negative emotions especially anger that won’t clear  ~  Low energy and need a boost.

  1. Inhale deeply and contract the muscles just below the navel.
  2. Hold the contractions and focus on the navel area
  3. (While keeping the contraction held) Exhale through the mouth in “puffs” as if you are pushing the stuck energy out from the navel area.
  4. Continue until you need to take another breath.
  5. Repeat the process until you feel the energies shift and lighten up.

6) Positive Infusions

Ask often to be filled with the following energies - especially after clearing yourself.  Take the "feeling" of the words deeply into your heart and soul. Let their vibrational signature resonate inside of you creating a new inner reality.
