Star-Glyphs

Star Glyphs:
A bridge to higher consciousness

I have combined my spiritual - intuitive gifts with my professional training as a graphic designer to create a set of symbols called "Star-Glyphs". Star-Glyphs are healing symbols that were created through divine inspiration and the use of geometry and color.

The creation of the Star-Glyph symbols began in 1998. Originally many of the images were drawn as a means of self-help. Intuitively drawing the colorful shapes calmed my emotions and brought me inner peace. I have created and revised the Star-Glyphs as they continue to reflect my own personal transformation.

Star-Language Drawings

Star Language:
Transformational drawings from the stars

I recently learned that drawings, such as these which I have called "star-language", were also created thousands of years ago. These Taoist, "magic diagrams" originated in shamanic-like practices. They were understood as trails of energy, pathways that helped to move energy.

These channeled drawings are a vibrational signature of light that carry transformational energies from other dimensional realities. Through meditative focus I contact the desired dimension and open myself to allow a current of powerful energy to express itself through me. I often hear tones and language-like sounds while I am making the initial drawings. These playful expressions uplift the spirit and open the heart.

Inspired Acrylic Paintings

Inspired paintings:
An expression of creative passion

Before beginning a painting, I create a sacred space to work in. I place Star-Glyph symbol cards on the floor around my easel in a geometrical shape to create a powerful vortex of energy. I also use uplifting music, incense, and candles to further activate and protect the environment. The inspired paintings are expressions of creative passion, sacred geometry and channeled star-language calligraphy.

My studies of Tantric Yoga have also influenced my paintings. These ancient teachings are a path of spiritual awakening. The masculine and feminine energies are understood as complementary forces that when balanced and aligned within oneself lead to a state of bliss. I see the interplay between the hard-edged sacred geometry shapes in the paintings and the colorful free-form lines as an expression of this divine union of masculine and feminine principles.

What is sacred art?

Following the ancient traditions of the East, transformational and sacred art use color, geometry and symbols to effect change. This type of artwork is created by consciously directing life force energy into the art for the purpose of healing.  In essence, the artist infuses atransformational vibration into all he or she creates. Thus, those who view the artwork are changed by its energy.

Sacred Symbols, Mandalas and Yantras have played an important role in world religions and spirituality throughout history. Mandalas are a good example.  Tibetan monks spend many hours of prayer and contemplation prior to the actual creation of sacred mandala symbols. Large sand mandalas are created with brightly colored sand and detailed designs.  High intentions to clear and activate the energy fields surrounding the area are infused into the designs.  The actions and energies involved in making these intricate mandalas is more significant than the permanence of the art itself.  Thus, after they are completed and a ceremonial closing is performed the mandalas are “destroyed”  (all the sand is mixed together).  Small packets of this sacred substance is then given to all the observers to carry this healing energy into their homes.

Mandalas and sacred art open new avenues of understanding human nature beyond what the intellectual mind alone can understand. Through working with and meditating on sacred symbols, one is able to bypass the analytical, cognitive mind and directly affect the emotional -spiritual part of our nature. As a result, mandalas and sacred symbols can be used as transformational tools.
